The result of this teamwork is high-performance, easy-to-implement and cost-effective 3D sensor technologies that deliver the best results in even the most challenging 3D inline inspection applications.What will you do as an Software Developer I (Front End)LMI Technologies is seeking a junior software developer or computer science professional with proven experience as a developer building and maintaining the front end of modern web applications. As a technical expert in one of LMI #39;s agile development teams you will be responsible for implementing features and improvements in an embedded web GUI implemented in TypeScript, React and MobX. You will work with our development team, our team of UX experts and product managers to improve our product. An eye for what looks good and the skills to create what #39;s proposed in the designs is essential. Experience with React and TypeScript are a must for this role.You will work in a multi-disciplinary, multi-platform, engineering team (software, electrical, mechanical/optical) that develops new sensor products and supporting infrastructure. Successful candidates should be professional, resourceful, and can work well autonomously yet still communicate effectively with a close-knit group of engineers across the application software team.Enjoy a flexible hybrid work schedule that combines the collaborative energy of our office environment with the convenience of remote work.   • Write reusable, well-tested UI code using a variety of modern technologies
  • Be a JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS pro
  • Use and improve third-party UI components
  • Create own UI components when necessary
  • Drive the design and implementation of features
  • Be a technical expert in modern frameworks and technologies
  • Perform periodic peer code reviews
  • Review requirements and UX designs, plan implementation effort, and interact with QA
  • Don’t break the build. Merge and rebase like a boss
  • Adhere to LMI Employee Policy Manual
What do you need to be successful
  • Be friendly, helpful, responsible, and a good team player
  • Be eager to learn about LMI Technologies and products
  • Experience working in a Front-End web development role (React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS/LESS/SASS.)
  • Degree in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with source control tools such as Git
  • Huge bonus points if you have experience with typed arrays, WebSockets, WebWorkers, OpenGL or WebGL, parallel and multithreaded programming
  • Experience with unit/integration testing. Ideal candidates would have experience working with web unit testing frameworks such as Jest, JsUnit, Karma, Jasmine
  • Ability to work in an Agile development team and be accountable for your performance and documentation
  • Superior English communication skills - both written and verbal
