On behalf of our Utilities Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Build Automation Engineer – Smart Grid Software to join our Client #39;s team on a Full-Time Permanent basis. This role is Hybrid, and the Client is based in Vancouver, BC.Summary of the RoleThe Build Automation Engineer will play a key role in enhancing the reliability and scalability of the Client #39;s test and build infrastructure. Working closely with QA and development teams, this individual will drive innovation in automated testing and CI/CD pipelines within a smart grid software environment.Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks for software quality assurance.
• Optimize and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows.
• Provide leadership and technical direction to a small team of engineers.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to identify automation opportunities and improve test coverage.
• Integrate Infrastructure as Code solutions and maintain deployment tools and scripts.

Core Requirements:

• 7–10 years of experience in software test automation and build infrastructure.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a technical environment.
• Proficiency with test automation tools such as JTest, Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Strong Linux skills (Ubuntu or RedHat) and familiarity with Terraform or Ansible.

Desired Skillsamp; Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience with Perl, Python, and Bash scripting.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI.
• Familiarity with SQL for database validation and testing.
• Agile/Scrum team experience and use of Git version control.

Terms:This is a full-time permanent role based in Vancouver, BC with a hybrid work arrangement.
