The Customs City platform gives trade chain participants greater efficiencies and a higher level of Customs Compliance.Job DescriptionYou are a customer-oriented individual responsible for prospecting, closing sales and generating leads from incoming sales calls, email inquiries and attending industry tradeshow conferences.You are responsible for making outbound proactive sales calls/LinkedIn messages to potential and existing clients.You are to develop close ties with corporate accounts, understand customer requirements and promote suitable solutions while providing a service that exceeds expectations.The right candidate should have experience in a sales role and a Customs Compliance & Trade background is required.Your strategic challenges will include:

  • Prospect, develop, and close new accounts and up-selling into existing accounts to achieve revenue targets
  • Using a consultative approach to diagnose customer’s needs and provide business advice
  • Understands competing products, services and strategies and provides feedback to management
  • Generating sales from in-bound customer inquiries and making outbound lead follow-up calls about our products and services
  • Keeping a sales pipeline and preparation of daily and weekly call reports. Updating of CRM
  • Conducting customer demos and training for our software applications
  • Ensuring contractual requirements for support/ SLAs are adhered to
  • Actively supporting the clients in the region. This includes physical, phone or remote support, related to Customs City products & services.
  • Coordinating with partner organization Kale Logistics on local projects
To succeed in this demanding role, you should thrive on challenges and possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business
  • Certified Customs Specialist-(CCS) professional designation preferred
  • Certified International Trade Professional-(CITP)- professional designation preferred
  • 1-2 years of sales experience, particularly in SaaS solutions/ B2B software applications
  • Sales experience to companies in Trade and Logistics sector would be an advantage
  • Strong track record of achievement, including the ability to consistently meet and exceed quotas
  • Understanding of U.S. CBP and CBSA Regulations and procedures; ACI, ABI, AMS, Section 321, ACE eManifest & eCommerce
  • Familiar with all aspects of international imports/customs entries including, bills of lading, commercial invoices, airline freight documentation, customs brokerage and related processes
