Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager & working alongside our current buyers, an ideal candidate will use strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial spirit to ensure that we have the right amount of product at the right time and the right cost in order to meet our goal of providing customer experience excellence, grow revenue and optimize operations.Leave a lasting mark and become part of a great team focused on creating a seamless and transparent customer experience in an innovative and collaborative environment.RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage Category Purchasing: Will be responsible for running of MRP, exception report, late report, vendor visits, etc. for your categories of raw materials (includes approx. 250 parts). The range of categories may include:

  • Injection Molded Part
  • CNC parts
  • Printed Circuit Assemblies
  • Fasteners/O-rings
  • Springs/Metalwork and gold plating
  • Cables/Connectors
  • Accessories for finished products
Assist with Quality Control Issues and CAPAs:
  • Communicating the failure results to vendors
  • Ensuring that parts are sent back for rework/repair and scheduling when replacement parts will be sent back.
  • Engaging the vendor in the CAPA process to ensure proper actions are taken by the vendor to prevent further issues from happening again.
Drive Supply Chain Excellence in your category thru various projects:
  • Engaging in strategic sourcing or vendor consolidation projects
  • Manage and improve Category and Supplier Performance Evaluations
  • Improve operating margin and reducing COGs.
  • Increase inventory turns
  • Inventory discrepancy investigations
  • Updating SOPs to match current processes.
  • Supplier onboarding and visits
The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Directly related experience with local electronic component distributors, related industry suppliers, electronic components.
  • Strong negotiating skills (price, delivery, and special terms with suppliers).
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, self-directed, determined, customer/team-oriented, energetic, enthusiastic.
  • Demonstrated tenacious follow-up ability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, judge priorities, and handle a variety of duties/assignments at once (sometimes under pressure) with a positive attitude.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office suite of tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Planner Outlook, SharePoint, BOM Explorer, etc.)
  • Relevant post-secondary education with strong math skill
  • Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Dynamics NAV, ERP, Qlik, Issue View systems is a strong asset
  • Mandarin and English is Preferred
