Job Description

The Position: As we are expanding our field of operations, we are in need of more motivated and hardworking individuals with leadership experience/potential. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Carpenter to join our team. The Carpenter will work as part of the operations crew on project sites, to install form work, and assist with all onsite civil works. This position is a part of the operations team who are responsible for the safe, technical, and economical execution of the companys projects in the field.Compensation includes equitable pay based on experience, benefits plan and health spending account, living out allowance and travel expense coverage. This position is project based, and fly-in / fly-out travel costs are covered. Living out allowance is provided to out of town workers.Currently hiring this role for projects near Kamloops, BC, with continuous work till summer 2023.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Construct and install form work for shaft construction
  • Design, and construct various items from specifications, as needed for site civil works
  • Report daily on form work completed to site supervisor
  • Perform various labour tasks as assigned
  • Participate in safety and operations meetings
  • Ensure applicable HSE standards are followed and met
Qualifications
  • Three (3) years experience as a carpenter
  • Form work experience
Key Technical Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong carpentry skills
  • Experience in form work
  • Ability to read and understand design drawings
  • Confident use of hand and power tools, selecting correct tools specific to the task
Successful candidates will be required to have the following safety tickets training is available;
  • WHIMIS, First Aid, CSTS or PCST, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, Fall Arrest / Fall Protection (training is provided)
  • Drug and Alcohol clearance

  • Extended periods of working away and travel may be required in this position. This position is assigned field locations during operations.
  • While performing the duties of this job, Physical Demands will include prolonged standing, walking and/or sitting, use of hand dexterity, hearing and eyesight.
  • Required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Employee will be required to work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat .
