Job Description

Dedicated to creating experiences our guests and team members are amazed by, Prospect Point Café is looking for a hands-on, energetic, Chef De Partie. With a sizable retail store, “grab and go” café, and West Coast inspired full-service restaurant, there is never a dull day at this beautiful tourist destination.If you are passionate about quality food and beverages, organization, and enjoy working on a team we would love to hear from you. We are looking for a Chef de Partie motivated by a passion for food and personal and professional growth.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a culinary experience of the highest quality, consistency, and creativity.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and the daily preparation of meals from pre-determined menus, ensuring the food quality and presentation meets our dining standards.
  • Assist with menu creation, budget control and development of new ideas.
  • Provide instruction to the kitchen team and monitor kitchen service levels to ensure Guests’ needs are met.
  • Estimate daily production needs on a weekly basis and communicate production needs to kitchen personnel daily.
  • Prepare and cooks food of all types, either on a regular basis or for special Guests or functions.
  • Assist in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Recognize superior quality products, presentations, and flavor.
  • Follow proper handling and correct temperature of all food products.
  • Operate and maintains all department equipment and reports malfunctions.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in culinary roles.
  • Red Seal and Food Safe Level 2 Certified (this is a must)
  • You THRIVE in a fast paced environment and can multi-task with ease.
  • You lead with a positive attitude, outgoing personality, and bring energy and enthusiasm to work every day!

  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Considerations:
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business
  • While performing the duties of this position, team members are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
  • Occasionally required to lift and climb a step ladder or step stool
