Job Location: Vancouver Convention Centre- West Building 1055 Canada Pl, Vancouver, BC V6C 0C3Shift Type: Temporary (June 18- July 8, 2025)Shift Days: VariousShift Hours: Morning #39;s, Afternoon #39;s, Evening #39;s, OvernightWAGE: $18.40/hr.JOB OVERVIEW: You will be responsible for making sure your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. Some of the duties and responsibilities include maintaining common areas, washrooms, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down glass and other surfaces.Responsibilitiesamp; Duties:

• Clean offices, auditoriums, washrooms, kitchen, dining areas, halls, entrances/exits, reception areas and more;
• Ensure proper sanitizationamp; disinfection procedures are followed;
• Replenish supplies as needed;
• Ensure garbage disposal in proper bins;
• Clean all dryamp; wet spills throughout facility as required;
• Maintainamp; secure storage areas, cleaning equipmentamp; materials in an orderly manner;
• Report equipment repairs and stock shortages;
• Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs;
• Report damageamp; acts of vandalism;
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment
• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
• Ability to readamp; understand labelsamp; instructions
• Previous custodial experience an asset
• Acceptable security and criminal record check.

Requirements:

• Ability to pass Canadian Background Check
