Job Description

Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Vancouver office:Client Service RepresentativeClient Service Representatives are responsible for the growth, profitability and client satisfaction of a book of business containing complex priority accounts. This role contributes to revenue retention and revenue growth by assisting in the implementation of insurance solutions that meet clients’ needs. The individual will provide support to clients and client facing professionals within the team, managing and developing client relationships and acting as the client's trusted advisor. Benefits coverage starting Day 1.Flexible Remote Working & Workplace Schedules (Remote work only during Covid-19 pandemic).We will count on you to:Pre and Post RenewalAssist with the collection of renewal information from clients and underwriters.Assist in producing client proposals, analysis and presentations.Assist team in coordinating work with Client Support Services (CSS) – such as certificate of insurance issuance, binder issuance, invoicing preparation and preliminary policy review activitiesPrepare premium allocation and risk allocation for billing and taxation purposesManage the billing and accounts receivable activity on assigned accounts.Prepare Summary of InsuranceOn Going Basis:Complies with Marsh Professional Standards to ensure quality service to all clients including file maintenance and computerized files.Reporting of claims as required.Review of less complex insurance contract clauses.Interact regularly with colleagues/managers, clients, underwriters and premium financing companies.As needed - participate in client meetings, underwriter meetings, and group presentations.Possess a good knowledge of the client’s operations and insurance programs.What you need to have:Post-secondary education or 1-2 years of equivalent work experience.BC General Insurance License level 1;Detail oriented with good computer skills with proficiency in email, word processing and spreadsheet software (excel skills key), as well as working knowledge of presentation software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Results oriented with a strong client service focus.Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment.Strong organizational skills in prioritizing work, multi-tasking and consistently meeting deadlines.What makes you stand out:Strong interpersonal skills enabling positive interactions with employees, management and clients.Possess a solid understanding of basic property/casualty insurance principals and risk management concepts.A profound sense of work organization and rigorous adherence to deadlines.A great team spirit.An ability to adapt to change and a willingness to question the status quo in order to improve the work environment.Excellent computer skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.In accordance with applicable legislation, Mercer will provide a reasonable accommodation to employees and prospective employees to the point of undue hardship upon request and as required in respect of the individual’s particular restrictions and limitations.
