You are welcome here.Mercer’s Careers Team is seeking a Principal or Senior Associate – Canada Energy Industry Relationship Manager in Western Canada (Calgary or British Columbia)What can you expectMercer's Career Consulting and Products business helps our clients around the world engage their talent to drive business performance. Career Products Industry Relationship Managers lead specific industry external and internal relationships to drive and retain revenue. The position is responsible for all client activities on assigned products or industry products, including product/project research, strategic marketing, client management, new product idea generation and revenues/sales.Client Management – Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external clients to gain perspectives on how to enhance/improve future products aligned with the industry, introduce or cross sell new products and services (i.e., consulting, mobility etc), and meet industry and market needs. Educates both internal and external clients on Mercer’s solutions/products with a focus on how they add value to industry segment and revenue growth. Coordinates post survey conferences/meetings for clients, contribute to agenda and conducts presentations. Develops new business by responding to RFP’s or expanding existing business through marketing or product/service enhancement. Works to expand relationships with clients.Handles complex client negotiations in providing solutions to clients. Responsible for contract renewals with client groups through negotiation, pricing increase, and the contracting process.Revenue and Sales - Monitors product sales and revenues, and looks to explain underlying reasons for growth, decline or linear YOY revenue numbers. Has new revenue and retention goals as appropriate for the industry.Responsible for custom scoping and new work in coordination with Product Management and CST. Responsible for reporting on participation and other revenue indicators in order to adjust marketing and solicitation efforts as needed (reports generated by Career BI and NA CST).Industry/Product Strategy – Serves as the leader of a specific industry (or in some cases, industries). Sets mid to long-term strategy for industry in conjunction with Mercer’s overall industry focus, and provides input into product roadmap to align with overall strategy. Responsible for meeting profitability and revenue growth goals for assigned industry. Co-creates value added services and insights for the survey product lines (i.e., white papers, op-eds etc).Jointly responsible for Commercial Plans for industry with Product Management and Indirect Marketing, with presentation to leadership.Product Planning and Development - research and analyze market conditions to identify key competitor and consumer trends. Identify opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements as well as opportunities to streamline or sunset products. Be able to articulate market requirements and opportunitiesClient Support – Defines the support model for clients in the industry and uses reports from NACC and other to inform model. Co-ordinate market research to track customer and end-user feedback and use this research to inform industry strategy, product refinements and ongoing product development. Will assist with survey participation follow-up.Responsible for webinars and supporting sales demos. Escalates product support requests that cannot be resolved by NACC or Product Manager (i.e. global). May be responsible for compliance/E&O reporting.Collaboration – The success of this role relies on collaboration and partnership with Career Product Management and other lines of business (e.g., Career Services).
