Job Description

Tapestry is an active aging community for independent adults. At Tapestry, residents live healthy, engaged, purposeful and socially connected lives and experience personalized, resident-centric service. Reporting to the Health Manager, the Community Access Screener plays a key role in protecting the health of our community by screening all individuals seeking access to the community. Preferably trained as a Health Care Assistant, the Community Access Screener is an excellent communicator able to interact with individuals in a knowledgeable, calm, diplomatic and sensitive manner to ensure that only those individuals who pass prescriptive screening criteria gain access to the community, which operates 7-24/365 days per year.Qualifications & Requirements

  • The preferred candidate has successfully completed a Health Care Assistant Program and is registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
  • CPR and First Aid Designations
  • A critical thinker in ensuring resident safety
  • Experience in a seniors’ housing/community context
  • Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Looking for meaningful work and inspired to make a difference
