Working with community stakeholders, you will use your knowledge and experience of child and youth engagement strategies to develop and implement out of school time programs for students in a geographic area. Your vision and strategic capabilities will assist you to coordinate year-round programs for vulnerable children and youth with a primary focus on partnership development. You will facilitate community participation in program development, implementation, and evaluation to serve a diverse and changing set of needs.Your experience working in public school and community settings, paired with strong communication skills will assist you in building and maintaining relationships with local community agencies, school staff, and other stakeholders in the school-community. You can synthesize, articulate and align district and school goals to extend into the Out of School Time. Soliciting a wide base of financial and in-kind support including fundraising are skills you have developed and will apply in this role. You will manage budgets for your program areas and supervise program staff and volunteers. The role of Community Schools Coordinator is fast-paced, responsive to community need, and requires a diverse and experienced skill set.You hold a degree in Recreation, Community Development, Education or Social Science and/or have significant experience and sound knowledge of local child and youth serving community agencies and organizations.The District welcomes qualified applicants who value equity and diversity as essential to excellence.
