Job Description

We are looking for a Project Coordinator experienced in Residential Construction. You will be working with suppliers, site supers, you will be responsible for schedules and delivery using project management software. Work location is at the office in South Vancouver.Solaris Properties Inc. is a residential construction firm that cares about our clients, our team, and our community. Our team has helped us stand out by building high quality custom homes. We are seeking new talent that wants to excel into the role of Project Coordinator, then be trained for the senior role of Project Manager. Individuals who share construction knowledge, bring strategic thinking to every project, and care about details because they matter to our clients.Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling sub-trades, inspections, etc. to ensure timely completion.
  • Ordering materials to ensure timely delivery according to specs.
  • Checking sub-trade and vendor quotes to make sure they match specs, filing received quotes, managing approval of quotes.
  • Coordinating with Site Supers that oversee works on site, including attending site meetings.
  • Reviewing and updating project schedules to reflect actual site progress.
  • Supporting the Project Managers in their role to bring the project to completion..
Requirements:
  • 2+ years’ experience around single/multifamily residential construction here in Canada. You know the build process and terminology.
  • Proficient with +1 yr using Project Management software. Ability to learn a new software (SaaS and other Cloud based platforms) effectively .
  • Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, submittals and understand how the BC Code is applied.
  • Good working knowledge of creating and issuing Purchase Orders, Change Orders, Sub-contracts
  • Understand and able to define Scopes and Work Breakdown Structures
  • A strong desire to learn and develop your career in Construction Project Management
  • Excellent, 100% fluent English communication
  • Outstanding organizational skills. Ability to deliver without supervision.
  • Clean Drivers License
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per yearBenefits:
