Job Description

Recognized throughout Canada as one of the most trusted names in hotels, restaurants, sports, and construction, Northland Properties Corporation is the force behind such brands as Sandman Hotel Group, The Sutton Place Hotels, Moxies Grill & Bar, Chop Steakhouse & Bar, Dennys Restaurants, the Dallas Stars, and Northland Asset Management Company. At this time Northland Properties is looking for a Content Coordinator to join its growing Digital team. The role will work within a cross-functional team, driving value by deploying content updates on all external & internal online/digital channels.Responsibilities:

  • Implement timely content updates across applicable channels and mediums including Company owned/operated website(s), intranets, 3rd party websites, extranets, transactional & marketing emails, etc.
  • Undertake routine fact-checks to maintain quality, accuracy & relevancy of both written & visual content across applicable channels.
  • Coordinate with different teams [ie. hotel(s)/store(s), marketing, distribution, revenue, design teams] for content updates/maintenance & campaign activation including marketing & transactional emails.
  • Assist with preliminary search engine marketing & optimization tasks for timely content & campaign activation.
  • Continuously improve content management workflows and log both opportunities & bottlenecks with relevant vendor and/or team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in agency role or previous experience in similar capacity with another hotel/hospitality brand will be an asset.
  • Bachelors degree in relevant field is mandatory.
  • Excellent oral, written & interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong command of English language is necessary.
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines and execute flawlessly on projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted team setting.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (Drupal, Wordpress, Galaxy), HTML, SEO & SEM techniques and platforms will be beneficial.
  • Previous experience in administering multi-channel digital campaigns will be useful.
  • Professional appearance and manners.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
