Now, Gram Cafe & Pancake has been launched in Canada!With the rapid development of our business, we are looking for an experienced and creative Corporate Pastry Chef to join our team, mainly responsible for researching market trends, developing new recipes, prepare pastry goods, and train other chefs and cooks who are working at our flagship store and franchises at our corporate central kitchen.If you are well versed in the pastry arts with a passion for delicious creations, please do not hesitate to send your resume to info@gramcanada.com.   • Follow gram's recipes and instructions to prepare high-quality pastry goods, and make adjustments to suit local tastes
  • Develop new dessert and pastries recipes with a keen sense of art and design to drive business growth
  • Demonstrate new baking techniques and receipts and new equipment to other chefs and cooks who are working at our flagship store and franchises
  • Create recipes for custom requested items and keep menu items on current trends
  • Work with Gram Japan to receive training from the company periodically
  • Communicate new menus and recipes with Japanese headquarters, and make changes based on their suggestions
  • Lead our pastry cooks to execute consistently according to the recipes and standards in terms of taste and appearance
  • Ensure pastry goods quality, inventory level and wastage are adhered to our standards
  • Ensure the kitchen and oven are clean and sanitized at all times
  • Order ingredients, food and kitchen supplies
  • Hire, train and supervise junior pastry cooks
  • Organize training seminars online and offline to train the cooks for the franchisees
Requirements:
  • High school graduation
  • Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field is required
  • At least 3 years of work experience as a pastry chef/baker in a commercial environment
  • Minimum 2 years of bakery production supervisory in the same setting
  • Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately as well as develop new ones
  • Advanced knowledge of pastry arts and ingredients
  • Confident pastry techniques and skills
  • Great communication and delegation skills with your new team
  • Creative, organized, attention to details and strong time management skills
