DescriptionMineamp; Yours, a leader in luxury and designer resale, is on the lookout for a Chartered Professional Accountant to become our Financial Controller. This role is perfect for someone who has an acute eye for detail, a love for numbers, and is adept at problem-solving. We are looking for an individual to oversee and supervise full-cycle bookkeeping for our entire company. This full-time position is based in Vancouver and calls for an applicant who is not just proficient in accounting but also (ideally!) has a solid understanding of the fashion and luxury resale industry. Reports To: CEO with a strong dotted line to COO. Core Competencies:Exceptional Problem Solving Self-Motivated Initiative Effective Teamwork Strong Communication Skills (Written and Verbal) Creative and Innovative Thinking Adaptability and Flexibility Strategic Planningamp; Organizing Leadership Commitment to Continual Learning Tech Savviness Strong Attention to DetailResponsibilities:Managing payroll and cheque runs Overseeing budget management Creating and sending invoices Developing operational strategies Collaborating with external advisors Upholding a documented system of accounting policies and procedures Monitoring and analyzing accounting data to produce financial reports Achieving financial accounting objectives Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records Handling Accounts Payable/Receivable Facilitating month-end and year-end processes Preparing and filing GST and PST returns Coordinating with external accountants for annual tax filings Effectively managing diverse revenue streams Analyzing financial data such as income, expenses, and company performance Identifying ways to reduce overhead costs Participating in team meetings and presenting monthly financial analytics Setting annual financial goals and targets, with regular updatesRequirements:Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) certification At least 5 years of experience in a similar role Thorough knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements Experience in full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping Advanced skills in Excel, QuickBooks, Word/Pages, Google Docs, and email Ability to quickly adapt to and learn new software Efficient in both team and independent work settings Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Skills in independently researching minor tax issues Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities Proficient in interpreting and implementing company policies and procedures Meticulous attention to detail Can provide credible references Clean criminal recordPerks Offered:Potential for hybrid working Monthly clothing allowance Generous employee discount Benefits Ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance professional growth.
