Job Description

E-EXIT is Canada’s largest escape room brand. Our small team at E-EXIT Gastown prides themselves on providing customers with fun and exciting experiences for all to enjoy. If you are a friendly, outgoing person who enjoys solving puzzles and helping others, please send us your resume and a little information about you (i.e: Cover letter)We are looking for full-time staff to work afternoon and evening shifts.Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers and addressing queries by phone, email, and in-person
  • Payment processing and operation of the reservation system
  • Presenting our orientation/storyline to customers prior to gameplay
  • Fully understanding all puzzles to be able to provide useful hints
  • Resetting the rooms after games
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the common areas, theme rooms, and restrooms
  • Work with our team to maintain a dynamic and constantly developing atmosphere
Core Attributes
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service-related field
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Fine grain attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive under pressure
  • Proficiency in Excel/Spreadsheet operation
  • Novice experience with Photoshop, Canva, and/or other photo editing software
  • A desire to learn and develop skills
  • Mature, responsible, and well developed time management
Additional SkillsAs part of our small team, you will have opportunities to gain new skills and help out in a number of different areas. If you have any additional skills or passions, let us know, as they can often be very useful.Some example are:
  • Woodworking and handiwork: general maintenance and construction of containers/props with a focus on safety and efficiency
  • Arts and crafts: painting, props, and decorations are an important part of the customer experience and your ability to develop quality content is a boon
  • Graphic design: engage customers through well integrated visual puzzles/hints and develop internal signage for day to day operation
  • Social media marketing: engage customers online with clever and well targeted content and help grow awareness of our location/themes
  • Acting & Storytelling: entertain and engage with customers the moment they walk in the door, setting and maintaining the mood of their experience prior to, during, and after their game experience
  • Game design: we always welcome and promote opportunities to leave your mark on our themes. Will you make our players next favorite puzzle/game
