The technology stack is built for scale delivering the highest level of performance and reliability at transaction volumes exceeding 1 billion annually.Exact is a private equity-backed company headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Vancouver, British Columbia.Your RoleWe are recruiting a Data Analyst to join our Product Support team. Reporting to our Vice President, Product Support, this person will be responsible for developing data analysis tools designed to identify issues across our infrastructure of high-volume transaction processing servers and applications. The Data Analyst will leverage Kibana and Elastic Stack to build a suite of log queries and data visualizations which will be used by our Support team to rapidly identify processing or integration issues and advise clients on resolution strategies.This position will be located in our Vancouver, British Columbia office.What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop expert technical knowledge of our payments infrastructure including gateway processing engines, application services, MySQL and Amazon Aurora databases, and Elastic Stack.
  • Design and build a suite of data analysis tools using Elastic Stack and Kibana
  • Build Product Support dashboards using Kibana and data visualizations using Telemetry TV
  • Take lead on database and transaction log query responsibilities for the Product Support team as well as other groups performing system research and resolution including: DevOps, QA, and Software Development.
  • Collaborate with Software Development on level 3 technical issues or client integration problems using log queries and transactional data to isolate the root cause
  • Train Product Support team on Query tools, Dashboards, and Data Visualization services
  • Participate in Product design sessions leveraging data insights to inform bug fixes, enhancements, and feature prioritizations
  • Collaborate with DevOps to leverage tooling and data set to inform infrastructure upgrades and enhancement strategies
  • Developing trusted relationships with technical counterparts across the team as well as with key customers
About You
    • 3+ years experience in a Data Analyst role for a technology company. SaaS software, Payments, or eCommerce experience is highly desirable.
    • Experience and working knowledge of Elastic Stack and/or Kibana
    • Prior experience supporting payment processing systems and/or eCommerce technologies is desirable
    • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Development experience including: PHP, Ruby on Rails, .Net, Python, SOAP Web Services, Linux, Node.JS
  • Fast learner interested in developing strong command of leading-edge tools including Telemetry TV (data visualization)
    • Works well in a collaborative environment and loves learning from a group of highly technical peers
  • Exhibits a technical, logical thought process plus a strong commitment to learning and growing in the Financial Technologies (Fintech) field
  • Interested in growing and moving within a Company always looking for people to take on the next challenge
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field preferred
