As Benchs first dedicated pricing, promotions, and discounting analyst, you will have the opportunity to create and be accountable for what good looks like and act as a trusted advisor across the entire Bench organization, analyzing the effectiveness of promotions and discounts as well as owning and guiding our pricing strategy and updates to highlight the value of Bench. With support from our leadership team, youll be a trusted advisor to go-to-market functional activities and initiatives for leveraging discounts effectively, running successful promotions, and pricing our offerings to drive the greatest impact on overall revenue performance, both for sales conversion and for churn reduction.Whats needed in this roleTo be successful in this role, youve been part of pricing strategy before and responsible for key analysis creating pricing models, market scenarios, testing assumptions, validating outcomes and dependencies. Youve also run or been a key contributor to the process and supported analyzing the business outcomes generated by discounting and promotions. You have the ability to look at these three levers as tools and recommend strategies to support the revenue growth at Bench and the value that we want to deliver to our clients. Youll be a key part of expanding the success of the small business community as Bench delivers on our mission supporting financial mastery for entrepreneurs.What youll get up to:

• Assess data from a variety of sources to gain insights into the effectiveness of our pricing strategy, customer behaviors, and market trends
• Analyze the effectiveness of various discounts and promotions by lead and customer segments to drive business outcomes
• Track customer engagement to develop effective pricing strategies and discounts or promotions for new products and offerings
• Apply statistical modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability and financial forecast scenarios
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement new discounts, promotions, and pricing strategies
• Present recommendations and communications for improved pricing, more effective discounts, and impactful promotions
• Work closely with our analytics engineering team to create repeatable analysis and infrastructure for frequently leveraged data and reports

What youll need:

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a pricing strategist, revenue data analyst, or junior data scientist or relevant experience in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS company
• Extensive understanding of financial models, statistics, and experience delivering insights & actions from independent analysis
• Intermediate to strong proficiency in SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) software, running queries to surface business insights and work with our analytics engineers who manage and maintain our Redshift environment
• 2 to 5 years of experience working within the Salesforce ecosystem or Salesforce-generated data, including pricing/pricebooks, campaigns, discounts, and/or promotions
• 1-2 years experience with pricing models, business forecasting, and financial scenario planning
• Have the ability to prioritize short-term initiatives against long-term strategy & direction
• Experience working with limited oversight & ability to self manage and self-prioritize
• Strong communication skills with the ability to message complex ideas into direct & succinct feedback

• Have experience supporting manual analysis being built into automatable systems & processes in a SaaS environment
• Experience in the development and architecture of a Salesforce infrastructure
• Hold certifications in Salesforce
