THE GOALIn this role you will be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math and statistics. The main function of this role is to help organizations turn their volumes of big data into valuable and actionable insights. We want to provide you with hands-on experience working in the technology industry, while being mentored by talented industry professionals.THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
• Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
• Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
• Collaborate with data engineering and business intelligence analysts
• Propose solutions and strategies to resolve business challenges
• Present information using data visualization techniques
• Combine models through ensemble modeling
• Interact with stakeholders
• Model design and testing
• Algorithm assessment, design, and testing

THE REQUIREMENTSWe totally get it. You’re a student – we don’t expect you to come in with a glossy resume detailing many years of experience. However, what we do require is for you to demonstrate:

• Strong math skills (ex: statistics, algebra)
• Exposure to quantitative analysis techniques through project or course work (Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Biostatistics, Engineering, or other related fields)
• Experience with:
• Data collection, Management, and exploration
• Basic data analysis
• Training, validating, and testing ML modules
• MLOps
• Working knowledge of a programming language. Python is an asset
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• High level of problem-solving skills. This includes day-to-day problems as well as algorithm design problems.
