Respondent Resource Specialist Job DescriptionXMP level Admin C$80,128 - 100,162 AnnualJob SummaryThe Respondent Resource Specialist (RRS) provides non-judgmental assistance to members of the UBC community who have been named as a respondent or have been reported to have caused harm under UBCs Sexual Misconduct Policy. The position is responsible for working closely with respondents and persons reported to have caused harm by providing information on responsibilities and rights under the relevant policy, helping understand and navigate the university processes, and connecting to on campus and off-campus resources. The Respondent Resource Specialist is equipped to provide support in recognition of the potential for distress as a result of the investigation.The RRS will honour the privacy of a given situation and information will be shared on a need-to-know basis with other confidential offices. The position requires thorough knowledge and experience with navigating and offering information and options on confidential and sensitive matters, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse communities in a challenging and complex environment.Organizational StatusBased at UBC Vancouver (UBC-V), the RRS will be responsible for managing their workload and priorities on a day to day basis, and will report to the Vice-President, Human Resources (VPHR), and the Vice-President, Students (VPS). The RRS will maintain a connection to UBCs neutral and impartial Investigations Office and other UBC-V units and stakeholders.
