All applicants must also be currently certified by, or eligible for certification by, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The successful applicant will be located at VGH and UBC Hospitals.We are seeking an academically oriented interventional Radiologist with a strong interest and experience in research and teaching. Clinical work involves covering an active interventional service including arterial and venous procedures, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, hepatobiliary and genitourinary interventions. Training and experience are required in the following: interventional oncology including chemoembolization, radioembolization and thermal ablation; peripheral vascular intervention; thoracic aortic interventions (stent grafts); pain management injections; non-invasive cross-sectional vascular imaging (CT and MR); and experience in diagnostic imaging in a Level 1 Trauma Centre. Expertise in MR angiography and experience in complex musculoskeletal interventions are also highly desirable.The successful applicant will enjoy a challenging practice including CT, US, MRI and General Radiography in a PACS environment. The remuneration and vacation arrangements are competitive for this geographic region. Following a successful probation period, the applicant will have the opportunity to join this collaborative practice. University appointment at the University of British Columbia will be granted in the clinical stream commensurate with previous rank/experience.The applicant will be working in a multidisciplinary group and must be willing to cover additional areas as per group requirements.
