Job Description

Native Northwest builds everyday connections to Indigenous cultures by tying Indigenous artists’ distinct designs to bold, new concepts. 100% of the art featured on Native Northwest products is designed by Indigenous artists.As the Digital Marketing Coordinator, you will help develop our brand’s voice and create and implement our digital marketing strategy.Our goal is to use digital marketing to grow our sales with B2B and DTC channels and build our connections to our customers and community groups.Visit nativenorthwestselect.ca or check out facebook or instagram to learn more about us.You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing Native Northwest’s marketing strategy
  • Telling the stories of Indigenous artists and sharing our company’s values
  • Email marketing and social media account management management for wholesale and e-commerce
  • Updating and refreshing our website’s design, visual and written content, and SEO
  • Creating our brand voice and developing visual (incl. photography) and written content to get our voice out there
  • Finding opportunities to show thought leadership and to communicate about the new Native Northwest Reconciliation Fund
  • Using graphic design and photography to help tell our story
Skills and Experience:
  • 3+ years of related marketing and communications experience with a specific skill set and experience in digital and social media
  • Experience in working with consumer brands, consumer products, and e-commerce
  • A self-starter with exceptional initiative
  • Strong content development skills for email marketing, website content, and social media
  • Knowledge and appreciation of Indigenous cultures and issues, as well as a desire to advance Reconciliation.
  • Understanding of the latest trends and strategies for SEO and digital advertising
  • Coding and web design a plus, as is knowledge in our Netsuite and BigCommerce
  • Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
