They are tech-savvy - a quick learner with an affinity for learning new software tools. We are looking for someone who is a natural multi-tasker with a collaborative, positive approach to work and a focus on continually building on their skills. The successful candidate will be able to take ownership of the delivery expectations, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and relay critical information to applicable departments. A valid driver’s license and strong geographic knowledge are assets. The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for assigning routes to drivers, communicating with and assisting drivers, and ensuring all deliveries are covered by drivers.What Youll Be Doing

  • You will assign routes to drivers based on a specific day/area according to a weekly game plan and schedule, building on your knowledge each week.
  • You’ll use your attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure your work is accurate.
  • You will become a power user with Onfleet, our live dispatch application. You will be able to use it to meet timelines and strategic goals while keeping an eye on a suite of factors to keep things running efficiently.
  • You will be a go-to person for our large fleet of drivers, providing support, addressing issues, and pivoting on the fly while communicating remotely via Slack and in-person as needed.
  • You’ll continuously monitor delivery efficiency and facilitate communication between drivers and customers where needed.
  • You’ll own route coverage while on-shift, checking and updating throughout the day using a shared floater sheet.
  • You’ll work in collaboration with our Customer Service and Delivery Success teams to ensure drivers are adhering to a high service standard and are meeting customer expectations.
What We Are Looking For:
  • You can edit and contribute to Excel spreadsheets and Google Sheets
  • You are confident communicating clearly with diverse individuals in a fast-paced environment
  • You have an ability to implement new processes or strategies in Logistics and are actively looking for opportunities to suggest process improvements
  • You have the ability to talk to technical and non-technical individuals about your work
  • You are able to work weekends and holidays regularly, with days off in lieu provided for stat holiday work
  • You’re able to be flexible with timing and you take ownership over ensuring the work is done - hours may vary according to operational needs and team vacation coverage
