Miles HR has a new full-time, temporary contract Driver Examiner opportunity with our highly reputable client, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC). These positions are for a 6 month period.As a Driver Examiner, you play a critical role in supporting Road Safety within British Columbia. You examine, re-examine, license, and evaluate new and experienced drivers in accordance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations.Driver examiners must have excellent time management and organizational skills and exercise superior judgment skills. We require individuals who can work independently, meet deadlines, and strive to achieve customer satisfaction in all aspects of their work. This role suits the candidate who has supervisory experience and outstanding people skills with the innate ability to communicate difficult decisions with empathy.There are multiple Driver Examiner vacancies across the Lower Mainland in BC in the following locations:

• Vancouver
• Burnaby
• North Vancouver
• Port Coquitlam
• Abbotsford
• Maple Ridge
• Langley
• Surrey
• Chilliwack

Details:Position: Driver ExaminerLocation: Multiple vacancies across the Lower MainlandType of employment: Temporary position for 6 monthsPosition Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/weekCompensation: $34.23 per hourTo meet the challenges of this role you have:

• Exceptional customer service experience
• Supervisory experience is an asset
• Proven ability to make decisions independently in challenging customer situations
• Ability to provide difficult feedback in challenging situations
• Ability to work in variable working conditions (weather, customer vehicles etc.)
• Strong data entry skills and cash handling experience is an asset
• Successful completion of a health assessment based on the job requirements
• Clean criminal record check by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General as required under the Criminal Records Review Act
• Possess a valid class 5 BC driver #39;s license or better and have a clean driver #39;s abstract record. NOTE: If you held a BC license for 2 years, they will not check any other Drivers Abstracts. If you have not held a BC license for 2+ years and did hold one out of province or internationally in the past five (5) years, they will conduct an International Drivers Abstract
