Job Description

Blackbird Interactive is looking for an experienced Editor with a passion for storytelling!Responsibilities:

  • Must be an exceptional collaborator and communicator
  • Highly flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to partner with the Director around their vision, as well as work autonomously with a creative approach to problem-solving
  • Create initial cuts from storyboards, CG previs, or concept art based on the Director's vision
  • Able to expertly edit dialog, sound effects, and music
  • Create mocked up visual and audio effects
  • Revise and update cuts through the pipeline and refine to final delivery creative and specs
  • Collaborate with UI, FX and environment art teams to produce in-game video assets
  • Integrate delivered video assets into game-ready video files
  • Export and coordinate deliverables for various forms of cinematic content
  • Collaborate with Business Development & Marketing on external-facing video projects such as marketing trailers or company-wide video presentations
Requirments
  • 5+ years experience as a professional editor (i.e., film, episodic, commercials)
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve, After Effects, Photoshop
  • Knowledge of color grading
  • Game cinematics experience would be a plus
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine Cinematic Creator and/or Unity Cinemachine, Maya, would be a plus
