This is why we offer a flexible, hybrid and remote work structure in all our locations.Job DescriptionReporting to the Head of VFX Editorial-IO and working in close collaboration with Production Show Teams, the Outsource Producer and the Lead VFX Editorial- IO will primarily assist the editorial team and have the responsibilities with the ( in’s and out’s ) ingest and deliveries of material for awarded and active shows.Main responsibilities:

  • They are responsible for the download and ingestion of packages sent to Rodeo FX with formal requests from the production team and from Clients and-or Outsource Vendors;
  • Reference Placement onto Rodeo FX network following guidelines and naming conventions, all the while maintaining and upkeeping the folder; structure onto Rodeo FX’s network with data provided from the production team;
  • Responsible for sending any materials from our network into client designated platforms following formal requests from the production team;
  • Partially work with Comp Supervisors to prepare ingest the plates once the Rio Graphs are completed for their show with the support of the IO TD show setup resources;
  • The Editorial Assistant may have to assist editor requests for the creation of in context-cuts/mini-cuts;
  • Import media to editorial projects, update sequences and prepare end of show projects (eg. supply marketing with All Shots, In Context, and, Before and After edits.);
  • Work closely with the upcoming editorial work and IO requests from productions;
  • Deliver Quality Control (QC’ing) validation by the Editor assigned to the project;
  • Ingestion (importing client materials shot on set, such as camera footage and all associated data files);
  • Stays up-to-date on shot delivery tools and processes;
  • Troubleshooting operational issues, liaising with TD-DEV Software and Render support;
  • Learn and understand the use of the Linux command line.
  • Understand the technical customer support role;
  • Basic Show Setup understanding - Tech Specs;
  • Learning our color management proprietary software at Rodeo FX;
  • Image manipulation reformatting;
  • Masking, text burn-ins, information slate generation;
  • Quicktime generation File naming and organization.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken;
  • French - written and spoken a plus;
  • Proficient knowledge of Google Suite;
  • Intermediate level of Excel;
  • Knowledge of Shotgrid project management software;
  • Basic knowledge of Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve and Heiro;
  • Work well in teams;
  • Fast learner;
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills;
  • Excellent sense of prioritization and respect of deadlines;
  • Dynamic and collaborative work ethic;
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks, set priorities and solve problems;
  • A strong commitment to quality, service and reliability;
