We reward you with competitive compensation, recognition for your achievements, opportunities for ongoing training to grow professionally and personally, delicious perks, and much, much more.Purdys Chocolatier is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to join our Support Office in Vancouver, BC!Reporting to the Digital Operations Manager, the Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating marketing emails to send to customers who have subscribed to Purdys Chocolatier emails across multiple departments, which advertise products, encourage customers to purchase products from the website, or direct them to our shops for specific promotions and/or events. This individual will also send emails to existing customers and sales leads for the Group & Fundraising department. Our email newsletter is a key way we bring our Purdys community connection and joy through our chocolate!Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Plan the email campaign calendar with the marketing team and key stakeholders, including brainstorming content, creating themes for the email campaigns and drafting a rough outline of the emails
• Ensure the email calendar is accurate and filled out at all times
• Develop email templates and/or update existing email templates, maintain coded email templates, create new email sections as required
• Track and analyze campaign results
• Ensure design and layouts of emails are accessible, optimized, user and mobile-friendly
• Compile and segment email lists
• Perform day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time campaigns
• Build out data-driven email journeys across the customer lifecycle through marketing automation and nurture campaigns, with a custom attribution model to track campaign ROI to its highest accuracy.
• Monitor funnel performance data, conduct campaign level quality assurance and A/B testing, making data-driven and strategic optimizations
• Coordinate with the Copywriter to gather copy needed for each email campaign to ensure we’re on schedule
• Determine the format for the emails, block out the emails in Code Editor and ensure there is a block for each product and/or section featured in the emails
• Partner with the Design Team to receive graphic assets for email campaigns; gather the required photos for each email campaign; utilize Photoshop to crop products and manipulate the images as required
• Animate GIFs of different images as required for email campaigns
• Incorporate the graphic assets and copy into the HTML workflow

All successful candidates must possess the following:

• Certificate in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Diploma or Certificate in Marketing an asset
• 3+ years of email marketing experience
• 3+ years of HTML, CSS and Javascript coding experience
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and workflow tools such as Gulp, and an email service provider such as Listrak
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Highly organized and capable of independent judgement
