The successful candidate will lead and support environmental site assessment, remediation, and monitoring projects for infrastructure and pipeline developments throughout British Columbia. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that contribute to environmental stewardship and compliance.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with BC regulations and federal guidelines.
  • Design and execute soil, groundwater, and surface water investigations to assess contamination levels and sources.
  • Interpret analytical data and develop comprehensive site assessment reports, including risk assessments and recommendations for remediation.
  • Develop and implement remediation strategies for contaminated sites, ensuring compliance with the BC Contaminated Sites Regulation (CSR).
  • Liaise with provincial and federal regulatory agencies, ensuring project activities align with environmental legislation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice on environmental risk and liability issues.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables for multiple environmental projects concurrently.
  • Ensure field activities are conducted in compliance with company health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor #39;s or Master #39;s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on contaminated sites, ideally within the infrastructure and pipeline sectors in BC.
  • Certifications PAg, PBiol, or other relevant professional designations; CSAP certification (an asset).
  • Strong knowledge of environmental site assessment techniques, contaminated site regulations, and remediation technologies.
  • Proficient in GIS, data visualization tools, and statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent technical writing, problem-solving, and communication skills.
