If you share the same sentiment, then this opportunity is for you.Rosewood Hotel Georgia is looking for a passionate, talented and creative Executive Chef.As an Executive Chef, you will assist in leading the daily operation of the culinary team which includes 3 Food & Beverage Outlets and Banqueting, 24 Hour Room Service and our Employee Restaurant. The Executive Chef reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage.Key Responsibilities:

  • In addition to running the day-to-day operations of our Kitchen, one of the primary responsibilities as Executive Chef will be to act as a brand ambassador in the local community promoting our brand, core values and F&B offerings to local residents via numerous public relation events, social media and marketing initiatives throughout the year. As a public facing figure, it is imperative the Executive Chef embrace his or her role as a public persona and welcome the social interaction with guests and residents from our beloved community.
  • You will be responsible for planning and developing menus, food costs, banquet events, hygiene and sanitation, effective planning, budgeting and purchasing decisions, policy making and inventory control, and ensuring our guests feel receive the highest levels of service excellence consistently.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring you and your team deliver the highest of culinary standards consistently and ensuring that our food offering is at the center of our guest experience.
  • You should have a wealth of culinary experience in luxury hotels, a desire to focus on the development of our team and a creative flair, bringing your personal touch and energy to all our food and beverage experiences.
  • You work closely with other Food and Beverage Director promoting a harmony between all departments in and outside of the Food & Beverage Division.
  • You will use your unique personality and service style fulfilling the Rosewood Brand standards creating a special and memorable experience! Ideally you will also have seasonal experience.
  • As an Executive Chef you will ensure the culinary department is kept in an organized manner in accordance with company philosophy and policies, maximizing efficiency and productivity and achieving established goals.
  • You demonstrate high standard awareness, by setting example for standards execution, standards testing and implementing action plans to achieve established product and service goals.
  • As a Department Leader you will motivate and develop a skilled team, leading by example at all times and instill a culture of continuous learning and improvement among your staff.
  • You actively participate in Employee Relations activities and programs.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6-7 years of kitchen management experience, 5 years of experience in a similar role in a Luxury hotel. Luxury or ultra-luxury experience is preferred.
  • Technical experience in various world cuisines, fine dining, Banquets & Catering is preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in culinary arts, hotel management, business or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Food Safe Certification and Red Seal Certification.
  • Business acumen and ability to control cost and drive revenue through Food and Beverage outlets.
  • Craftsmanship that yields a creative flair and current food trends. A well-developed interest in food and wines; you are a foodie at heart!
  • Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 50 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
