We’re seeking anglers who love teaching their craft, and are passionate about sharing the amazing art of fly fishing with people from around the world.   • Guide a high end clientele base from around the world
  • Introduce guests to fly fishing by leading onsite casting lessons, private lake excursions, offsite lake and river expeditions, and basic fly tying lessons
  • Primarily onsite fishing
  • Access to some of BC’s best freshwater fishing off nearby HWY 24
  • Learn about maintaining/managing a healthy fish habitat and trout population

*General Requirements - Education, Work Experience, Certification, and Skills
  • Avid fly fisherman with a passion for sharing their craft with others
  • At least two years of related guiding or instructing experience preferred
  • Possess social skills required for serving a high-end, discerning clientele
  • Comfortable with children
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to abide by the resort’s established systems and sustainability best practices
  • Clear communicator, adept at listening
  • Stamina for working in a physically demanding, fast-paced workplace
  • Mentally prepared to relocate and live in a remote wilderness environment
  • Passionate about the outdoors, sustainability, and excellent service
  • Must be safety and detail oriented
  • High School diploma
  • Current certifications for First-Aid
*Specific Skills:
  • Previous experience guiding or instructing outdoor activities
  • Ability for route finding in the wilderness
  • Working knowledge of safety and risk management when dealing with people in a wilderness environment
  • Driver’s License
*Highly Desirable:
  • Experience teaching new anglers how to fly fish
  • Knowledge of terrain, environment, flora and fauna in BC’s Interior
  • PAL
  • Knowledge of marksmanship, archery, wilderness survival, or other outdoor activities
  • Carpentry or construction experience
  • Proficiency with farm equipment (chainsaw, ATV, woodsplitter, etc.)
  • Own vehicle
