Job DescriptionFOOD TRUCK OPERATOR/MANAGERTravel East Food TruckSUMMARYThe food truck manager is responsible for managing food service operations within food truck. Ensure all of our friends that work with us follow in house policies and procedures and meets with all legalities.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Start up. You must know how to drive a Food Truck and start up the truck, basics of turning on the generator, switching everything on, propane, fan, fridges, all of the electrical (switch board that turns everything on) warmers, warm up the food and chai, prep salads.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations at food truck
  • Plan for and purchase food for daily operations.
  • Maintain required records including food production, inventory, income/expense, meal counts and personnel records.
  • Ensure food truck staff members follow proper sanitation procedures.
  • Preside over food truck employees, including cooks, food preparers, cashiers, and other employees.
  • Ensure safety standards are maintained while food is being cooked.
  • Prepare and serve the food.
  • Plan menus and look for ways to increase sales
  • Drive the food truck
  • food safe certificate level one
  • Respond to customer preferences and complaints.
  • Set prices for each product on menu.
  • Plan and budget
  • Maintain equipment including refrigerator, stove, prep table and cookware.
  • Maintain the generator – oil change and whatever else ..
  • Maintain the truck and take care of any mechanical issues (such as driving the truck to the mechanics) oil change, breaks, etc.
  • Ensure customer dining experience is satisfactory.
  • Expedite food.
  • Hire, recruit, and train employees.
  • Deliver orders to appropriate customers.
  • Direct the cleaning of the truck and commercial kitchen.
  • MUST know how to do the roles of the cook, of the window attendant
  • Maintain employee records, prepare payroll, and complete paperwork to comply with laws and regulations.
  • Keep records of supplies and purchases.
  • MUST know all the operations and all of the positions of the truck
  • Look for parking spots and areas with high foot traffic
  • Manage credit card and ensure there is no over spending or unnecessary spending
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $5,000.00-$6,000.00 per monthSchedule:
  • 8 hour shift
