Job Description

Equivalent ExperienceMechanical ForemanIn search of a Mechanical Foreman for a long term opportunity with a reputable mechanical company with sites in the Vancouver area.Scope:Responsible for managing the field crew, material and equipment to ensure timely and proper completion of projects. Provides mentorship and technical skills to field staff. Will work directly with the Project Manager and Coordinator, the BIM Designer, the Fabrication Shop, and other team members. Manages on site tools and equipment. Provides technical assistance in relation to pipe fitting, and plumbing. Ensures installations comply with applicable codes and regulations. Maintain paperwork such as Hazard Assessments, Short Interval Plans, Time sheets, Weekly Labour Reports, Daily Logs, Safety Forms, etc. Update drawings and project change orders.The ideal candidate will have:

  • Understanding of architectural drawings and controls
  • Understanding of BC codes related to mechanical systems
  • Plumbing Ticket
  • 5 years’ experience as a Foreman/Superintendent managing a site
  • Experience overseeing subs and have an understanding of their scope: plumbing, sheet metal, sprinkler and controls
  • 5 years’ experience with mechanical room
  • Valid drivers license
  • Commercial construction experience
