Position Title: Formwork Site SupervisorTerm: FulltimeLocation: Langley, BCAvailability: Monday-Friday with overtimeAbout Us: For over 30 years The Quorum Group of companies has been privileged to work on a number of Canadas greatest landmarks. From our executive team to our on-site management team, we value our employees and strive to make their work environment more productive and efficient each year.Roles and Responsibilities: · Supervise concrete layout responsibilities· Schedule concrete pours & order concrete pumps and crews accordingly· Coordinate with the General superintendent· Coordinate with other trades on-site throughout the building process· Coordinate adequate manpower· Schedule inspections with appropriate engineers for falsework Before Pour· Perform accurate quantity take-offs for building material, falsework, concrete, etc.· Prepare as-built drawings· Coordination with General Contractor· Manage site Structural & Architectural changes ie: SI’s, CO’s, SSI’s, ASI’s, prepare RFI’s· Direct and coordinate with the onsite foreman· Detailing drawings/sketches for surveyors and or carpenters· Read and interpret plans, instructions, blueprints, structural drawings, rough sketches, and specifications to determine work activities· Plan, assign, schedule, and supervise the work of concrete crews, laborers, and finishers· Manage a crew of workers· Organize labor and material daily· Control daily costs and waste· Effectively communicate project expectations to team members on an ongoing basis· Manage and prevent occupational hazards and ensure the site meets all safety standardsRequirements/Qualifications: · Minimum 7-10 + years of concrete forming experience· Ability to prepare and edit schedules· Strong technical building knowledge and ability to recognize proper forming techniques to support required dimensions of concrete structures· Must know practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools used in concrete construction and maintenance· Knowledge of Building Code· Proven performance in leadership and managing both people and construction sites· Demonstrated effective communication and team-building skills· Be results-focused with a proven track record of accomplishments in the construction industry· Make recommendations for change, implement and evaluate and provide a strong process perspective· Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, juggle numerous and diverse activities, organize and prioritizing appropriately to meet demands and expectations· Be a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and has a desire to grow with the CompanyWhat we offer: · Be part of a growing business· Professional development opportunities· A genuine, respectful, and progressive work environment thats developed over 30 years· Competitive salary package- depending on the experience level· Medical / Dental & RRSP contributionPlease attach a resume through the application, applicants who are chosen will be contacted via phone or email.
