  • Contributes to student learning and advancement
  • Maintains a growth mindset and passion toward student progress and the students personal and professional development.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and agency; holds themselves accountable for learning outcomes and advocates for their students
  • Works efficiently, and believes in their ability and the capability of their students
  • Familiarity with BC Curriculum and the ability to work with students from any grade ranging from Grade 2 to Grade 12
  • Demonstrates academic competence in school subject area(s), and displays a passion for developing integrated and interdisciplinary work across the curriculum.
  • Facilitates problem-solving, fosters critical thinking skills, and shows a high degree of creative application in the implementation of our curriculum
  • Collaborates effectively with others within the organization and contribute to the advancing of a dynamic teaching and learning environment
  • Demonstrates global competence and how their performance will expand the impact of students’ work to their families and local and global communities.
  • Designs and applies learning activities that follow a coherent sequence and are aligned to our goals, and engage students in high-level cognitive activity
  • Invests in the students’ well-being and safety, physically and emotionally
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in French or a comparable qualification, preferably from a US, Canadian, or UK university.
  • An education degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field of teaching is considered an asset.
  • Prior teaching and/or tutoring experience is an asset.
Your Skills
  • Familiarity with technology and the use of technology to teach remotely.
  • Knowledge of instructional methods appropriate for students at the respective grade level.
  • Desire and ability to work with students at the specified age level with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability toward accomplishing their educational goals.
  • Ability to organize tasks and manage time to meet many and varied deadlines manage small and large groups of students in a classroom environment; and communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff
  • Working familiarity with assistive technologies; internet and email systems; and word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software.
  • Familiarity with technology and the use of technology in the classroom and remotely
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
