At Pearl West, we build fully customized storefronts optimized for UX, speed, and scalability. We’re looking for a Front-End Developer Intern who is passionate about crafting stunning, responsive, and conversion-driven Shopify interfaces—and who’s excited to grow their skills alongside seasoned developers and designers.Role OverviewAs a Front-End Developer Intern, you’ll support our design and development teams in building and optimizing custom Shopify themes. This is an onsite internship where you’ll work closely with developers and UI/UX designers, contributing to live eCommerce storefronts and learning best practices in front-end Shopify development.Key Learning Objectivesamp; Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScrip
  • Learn how to implement responsive layouts, animations, and interactive components using tools like GSAP and ScrollMagic
  • Support the team in A/B testing and analyzing UI variations to improve conversion rates
  • Contribute to performance optimization including site speed and Core Web Vitals
  • Collaborate with designers and marketers to ensure pixel-perfect storefront execution
  • Participate in QA testing and resolve UI bugs across devices and browsers
Ideal Candidate ProfileBasic Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Web Development, Computer Science, or related program
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Interest in UI/UX design and front-end development
  • Willingness to learn Shopify’s Liquid templating language
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Portfolio or GitHub with relevant front-end work (course, freelance, or personal projects)
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience with CSS animations, GSAP, or ScrollMagic
  • Exposure to JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, or Alpine.js
  • Interest in eCommerce, CRO, or user behavior
  • Basic understanding of SEO/accessibility best practices
