Overview:WildBrain Studios is looking for an experienced FX Artist to join our team!As an FX Artist you will work in conjunction with the FX Lead and CG Supervisor to create high-caliber FX simulations for one of our exciting 3D TV Series. You will be a part of our fun and creative studio atmosphere, and will have an opportunity to grow your skill set and progress in your career.We are currently working virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time our hiring teams are ready to support interviews via video conferencing, and we are enabling artists to work from home until the studio can reopen. We’d love to hear from you! #stayhomestaysafe!Responsibilities:Create and deliver FX for the series and each episode within scheduled timelinesEnsure that all production deadlines are met while producing work at a quality level in keeping with production requirementsConstruct creative solutions for recurring FX in the productionRevise shots based on client and supervisor feedback in a timely mannerCoordinate with Lighting to ensure smooth integration of FX elementsWork within the established pipeline and offer constructive suggestions to improve the processHelp develop and explore new ways to enhance resultsHelp teammates debug issues and learn new methodsQualifications:2+ years of experience in animation or film industryProficiency in Maya’s particle and fluid systems is a mustProficiency in Nuke is a mustAbility to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideasAbility to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficientlyAbility to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressureBonus:Knowledge in Python is an assetWhy WildBrainAt WildBrain Studios our teams dig into a diverse range of projects – from preschool and comedy to action-adventure, and work with international partners such as Apple, Netflix, LEGO, DreamWorks, BBC, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and more.
