Job Description

Job DescriptionGeneral Manager - Food and Beverage VenuesWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead the ARC restaurant and In Room Dining outlets at the Fairmont Waterfront.The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a proven track record in driving revenue, upholding Forbes and LQA standards, fostering a luxury service culture. As General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the hotel #39;s Venues by overseeing day-to-day operations, developing training programs on delivering exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the overall growth of the establishment.Summary of Responsibilities:Team Leadership and Development:

  • Work in partnership with ARC Restaurant Chef to execute flawless operation
  • Recruit, train, and mentor, ensuring a positive and motivating work environment, ensuring a guest-centric mindset
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Empower and support colleagues to resolve guest issues promptly
Revenue Generation:
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to drive revenue and maximize profitability, while collaborating with the marketing team to create promotions and social events
  • Ensure forecasting accuracy and strategies to strive to achieve financial budget, analyze reports, find growth areas, optimize sales
  • Implement effective cost control measures of all food, beverage, labor and operating expenses
Forbes and Leading Quality Assurance Standards:
  • Uphold the highest standards of excellence, as set by Forbes and LQA
Sustainability, Health, and Safety Compliance:
  • Actively participate in the Fairmont Sustainability Program, Food Safety Committee and determine department-specific action items
  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff implementing best practices related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety
