Graphic Design & Communications SpecialistThe Arbutus Club, one of Canada’s finest private family clubs, is hiring a FULL-TIME GRAPHIC DESIGN & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST within our Communications Department.This is an excellent opportunity to gain a wide array of graphic and communications experience in the private club industry. The Graphic Design & Communications Specialist is responsible for all club-wide communications, including digital print, and social media.Join the Club· Competitive salary with health and dental benefits after 3 months of employment· A daily meal allowance of $12.50 per day· Health care and Lifestyle spending account and RRSP matching after 1 year of employment· Free on-site staff parking and corporate discounts for local gym memberships· Staff events, training, and opportunities to grow within the Club· Work with a fun, diversified team who are passionate about customer service· Be part of Canada’s leading private family ClubDuties & Responsibilities· Work collaboratively with the management team to develop the club-wide marketing and communication strategy· Create marketing and communication campaigns across multiple platforms in both print and digital· Provide design and copywriting support to all departments, creating graphics, logos, print materials, and identity design· Create digital assets that compliment and elevate the overall marketing messages for use on the Club’s website, mobile app, social media accounts, in-house digital displays, and email marketing· Support the production of a seasonal digital recreation programming brochure and a printed quarterly magazine· Curate content and take photos at special events for publications and online communications· Manage the Club’s website and social media accounts· Provide member support related to website navigation and email marketing inquiries· Maintain graphic continuity between printed design work and Club brand standardsRequirements & Qualifications· Big picture, solution-based thinker with strong leadership skills· Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in publishing, communications, and/or graphic design· Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, with emphasis on Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Acrobat· Experience in layout design and publishing· Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Business)· Fluent in web design (HTML, CSS) and website management· Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform· Strong understanding of how typography, colour, composition, and hierarchy interact to create compelling on-brand design solutions· Proficiency in written English and experience writing professional communications· Excellent proofreading and copyrighting skills· Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deal with change in a fast-paced environment· Outgoing, fun, flexible, team playerWe thank all applicants for their interest.
