Job Description

Overview:WildBrain is looking for Harmony Compositing Artists to join our Vancouver studio. Using Harmony, you'll be responsible for constructing the final image by combining layers of animation, lighting/shadows and background elements into a final composite shot as per each shot’s requirements.These roles are set to begin in July 2021.We are currently working virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time our hiring teams are ready to support interviews via video conferencing, and we are enabling artists to work from home until the studio can reopen. We’d love to hear from you! #stayhomestaysafe!Responsibilities:Creating and compositing digital FX, highlights and tones within the current compositing pipelineCollaborating with artists and supervisors to achieve consistent and high quality resultsManaging renders and setting up shots technicallyIntegrating all layers including animation, environment, lighting to create the final shotsWorking with 3D renders and combining seamlessly into 2D scenesEnsuring and maintaining the expected quality, style and schedule across the productionMeeting production deadlines and maintaining regular communication with leads and supervisorsCollaborating with other team members to improve methods, workflows and techniquesAnalyzing and troubleshooting common technical issuesIdentifying and reporting any issues that arise that may affect timelines or delivery schedulesQualifications:Solid understanding of compositing, lighting, shading, colour and renderingStrong sense of design and shot compositionPrevious experience in lighting and/or compositing (Harmony and Photoshop is a bonus)You have the ability to take direction, be flexible and embrace changeYou can communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas in a professional and positive mannerYou have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressureWhy WildBrainAt WildBrain Studios our teams dig into a diverse range of projects – from preschool and comedy to action-adventure, and work with international partners such as Apple, Netflix, LEGO, DreamWorks, BBC, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and more.
