The successful proponent must demonstrate the ability to supervise team members within the CUPE 15 environment. This position will be responsible for the accurate daily cash reconciliation and support scheduling and timesheet administration as directed by the supervisor. The successful proponent must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and have the ability to successfully mentor fellow employees including facilitating performance management as needed.This role reports directly to the Clubhouse Coordinator in Golf Operations, supervises the Cashier staff, and works collaboratively with the Greenskeepers and Course Marshalls at the designated Pitch and Putt course.Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • With guidance from supervisor sets work priorities, trains, supervises and mentors Pitch and Putt employees while dealing with any immediate performance management issues while employees are on shift.
  • Handles daily cash processing requirements including reconciliation of daily receipts.
  • Preparation of A-forms and deposits as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring security of the Pitch and Putt Golf Shops and facilitating opening and end of day procedures.
  • Overseeing daily front of house operations at the Pitch and Putt Golf Shop. Ensuring that facilities are clean and properly set for business.
  • Responsible for ordering all stock, and maintaining proper inventory levels of all goods.
  • Responsible for handling and resolving customer concerns as they arise.
  • Responsible for ensuring employees are adhering to the guidelines and requirements of their position as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Administrate food safety and quality control programs as outlined by supervisor.
  • Ensure patrons are adhering to proper tee off protocol at the #1 tee.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
  • Minimum Grade 12 education
  • Post Secondary education in Business and/or Culinary Management considered an asset.
  • Experience in a similar Food and Beverage environment required.
  • Proven experience supervising a team of unionized employees.
  • Experience in a similar Park Board department considered an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ablities:
  • Food Safe Certification is an asset.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20kg.
  • Knowledge of cashiering methods and practices.
  • Knowledge of standard office methods and procedures pertaining to receiving and recording or remittances and control of saleable goods.
  • Ability to accurately process cash handling procedures and maintaining accurate clerical records.
  • Ability to assist with scheduling, supervising and training Pitch and Putt employees.
  • Provide exemplary customer service.
  • Successful past experience supervising in a unionized environment.
  • Must be able to work a variety of days and shift including evenings and weekends.
