Today Paul bakery is in over 50 countries providing the highest quality French products, including breads, crêpes, sandwiches, macarons, soups, cakes, pastries, fine dine-in, coffee, wine, and beer. Pauls tradition is to provide a safe work environment for the staff to feel at home by operating the shop locally in each region and country. The most important factors to join the Family of PAUL in Canada are working with your local team, with full honesty and Love for our range of products and French culture of cooking.HOSTESS/HOSTThe host/ hostess will serve as an ambassador of our brand in Canadian stores and must be a multi-functional individual with an attention to the finer details and a great personality to welcome our guests.Duties** Check Covid 19 Vaccine ID

  • Welcome guests with a warm, friendly attitude
  • Provide sincere and caring interaction with guests
  • Answer phones, deal with guests face to face, assist servers
  • Control reservations
  • Manage seating of walk-in guests
  • Communicate with the appropriate manager of each section, servers and kitchens
  • Assist servers in sections as/when required with focus staying on the hostess stand
  • Ensure the restaurant portrays a well-run establishment by being tidy and organized.
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements: Knowing and being able to speak French will be an asset.
  • Previous hostess/host experience is an asset
  • Having Serving it Right / WHMIS Certificate/ Food Safe is an asset
  • Experience in providing customer service over the phone, i.e. making reservations, answering questions, provide information and take orders
  • Must be able to work weekends and public holidays
  • Must be well-organized, tidy and disciplined in managing reservations and walk-in guests
  • Must feel comfortable wearing provided uniform and follow the employee guideline booklet
  • Must be able to commute to PAUL BAKERY ROBSON STREET location (1164 Robson street, Down Town Vancouver)
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift, push or carry trays
  • Able to work in standing position for extended periods of time
