Proud to be a part of the Intercontinental Hotels Group family, The Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre on 711 West Broadway is a 197 room hotel located in the heart of Vancouver, British Columbia. We are currently recruiting for a dynamic individual to fill the position of a part-time Room Service / Bellman (Saturday & Sunday). You will have a chance to be cross-trained with other departments or become full-time in the future based on performance. (Housekeeping, bell, room service, maintenance, restaurant, etc.)* Interact with our guests in a friendly and professional manner.* Assist guests with inquiries* Assist front desk staff when needed* Receive and deliver items for guests, handle guest complaints and requests, and maintain luggage storage area* Make sure the hotel is secured at night* Periodic patrol of the hotel* Maintain cleanliness of lobby area and Room Service area* Deliver requested items to guest rooms* Minor housekeeping work as assigned* Minor maintenance work as assigned* Familiarizes guests with Hotel services and answers any questions about the city* Other duties and projects as assignedJob Requirements:* Grade 12 completion. Post secondary education in Tourism/Hospitality programs an asset.* Excellent customer service skills and attitude* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy* Previous bellman/security experience an asset* Excellent command of the English language, verbal and written. Second language an asset.* Must be able to lift a 40lb luggage* Must be available Saturday and Sunday, no restriction on shift. (6:45am start for AM shift, 2:45pm start for PM shift, mid shift is based on business volume)Resume accepted via Email only.
