-FX SupervisorResponsibilities

• Track and delegate all FX tasks across every studio project, keeping in mind artists strengths and particular interests
• Focus on opportunities to push the studios FX quality while meeting delivery deadlines
• Involvement of FX callout process for each episode of each project
• Communicate effectively within their team to ensure all artists are in an optimal environment to succeed
• Work directly with show and art directors to develop the look of specific her effects in advance and convey vision to artists
• Participate in lead meetings, dailies, client calls, performance reviews and new-hire interviews
• Undertake R&D and other applicable TD work for upcoming effects as well as development of rigs or templates which can be passed on to other artists or departments.
• Responsible for mentoring other FX artists and maintaining team cohesiveness and morale.
• Maintenance/organization in Shotgun

Requirements

• A strong background as a Lead in feature or CG Series.
• Proficiency with Houdini and Nuke
• Ability to work within an established pipeline and learn to use custom tools;
• Ability to understand and interpret effectively a storyboard and the Director’s feedback and be able to give direction to a team;
• Have good teaching skills, be a mentor, and technically and artistically develop the team;
• Ability to work well in a team and excellent communication skills
