From property and land acquisition to the design and construction of our hotels, restaurants, and resorts, we take tremendous pride in celebrating the incredible talents of our in-house team.Our construction and design team is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner based in our Vancouver Support Centre. Reporting to the Vice President of Construction and Design, the Human Resources Business Partner will support all aspects of HR including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, training & development, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, reporting and health & safety.Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with leaders across the company to shape our culture, promote and embed our core values into all programs, systems and processes.
  • Develop, lead, and support the delivery of HR systems such as recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, training & development, performance management, employee engagement and health & safety.
  • Evaluate the talent landscape and develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers on critical roles and manage senior-level searches.
  • Practice effective situation/conflict management, working closely with leaders to ensure employee relations concerns are handled with care, professionalism and timeliness, while minimizing risks to the business.
  • Conduct investigations.
  • Provide advice, support and coaching to leaders and employees as required.
  • Support employee assessments and succession planning.
  • Support leaders and employees with goal setting and performance management.
  • Complete compensation reviews and present recommendations to business leaders.
  • Lead health & safety programs and initiatives.
  • Support the roll-out of various corporate initiatives.
  • Maintain HR systems to ensure accurate, relevant and streamlined reporting.
  • Routinely evaluate the effectiveness of HR systems and continuously improve to meet growing business needs.
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant employment laws and practices.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of work experience in human resources.
  • Post-secondary education in human resources, business administration or a related field.
  • Experience within the construction and design industry is an asset.
  • CPHR designation is an asset.
  • Very strong service-orientation.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to solve problems in a logical manner while anticipating and planning for potential roadblocks.
  • Ability to adapt with urgency to changing work environments, work priorities and organization needs.
  • Ability to work proactively and positively as part of a team.
  • Ability to liaise and form positive relationships with all levels of employees and management.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Sound working knowledge of human resources and its systems and processes.
  • Some travel required.
