Join us and contribute to building a more inclusive future.Job Overview:GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Water Treatment Technician to join our Valued Clients team at a marine piling project site in the Coastal BC region. This is a 12-month contract position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety. Camp accommodations or LOA is provided for the duration of the project.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of portable water treatment equipment.
  • Monitor system performance and water quality indicators during marine piling operations.
  • Collect and document water samples in accordance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to pumps, filters, valves, and monitoring systems.
  • Support field operations team with daily coordination and logistical tasks.
  • Maintain detailed operational records and communicate findings to the site supervisor or environmental lead.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with water treatment systems or related mechanical/environmental systems.
  • Valid WHMIS and First Aid certifications.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations related to marine or industrial water discharge.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor and remote environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education or certification in Environmental Technology, Wateramp; Wastewater Treatment, or a related field.
  • Previous experience on marine or construction projects involving piling or shoreline work.
  • Experience with automated monitoring and control systems.
Work Environment:
  • This is a remote, camp-based position with exposure to variable weather conditions and physically demanding work.
  • All necessary PPE and safety gear will be provided.
