This position acts as the face of the department to either clients or other internal teams. In addition to performing scheduled tasks such as daily checklists, the Hosted Infrastructure Engineer I is also responsible for initial troubleshooting of issues. This position works closely with Hosted Infrastructure Engineer II to bring issues to resolution quickly and efficiently.Duties/Responsibilities:Initial troubleshooting on most requests that come into the departmentBuild, design, deploy, and maintain new servers, cloud services, storage, and network changesAssess urgency of issues and facilitate follow-up and resolution or escalates when appropriateParticipate in discussions for applications performance and infrastructure outage incidents to provide monitoring observations and updatesRecognize and resolve server, network, and storage issuesUse and troubleshoot scripts, Infrastructure as Code and automation platformsParticipate in schedule tasks such as daily checklists and in on-call rotationQualificationsDegree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent combination of experience and certifications2+ years of infrastructure experienceDrive to learn new technologies and try new approachesTeam player that embraces positive conflictApplies attention to detail to routine tasks defined in formal, written procedures and oral instructions.Adjust priorities to meet or exceed business requirementsResponds constructively to feedback on task outputBasic knowledge of most and advance knowledge in at least one area:Networking, Firewalls, VPN and WANSoftware Defined Networking, SDWAN and SASEVirtualization (VMware preferred)Storage Technologies (SAN, NAS, S3)Microsoft Windows ServerLinux ServerDatabases (SQL, no SQL) and MiddlewareInfrastructure as Code and AutomationBackup, DR, and Business ContinuityCloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure)This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties and the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.Additional InformationAll applicants meeting minimum qualifications will be required to complete a 30 minutes online assessment as part of your candidate applicationQuick Apply
