Job Description

The EA SPORTS Integrated Communications team builds meaningful relationships with hundreds of millions of players around the world who love EA SPORTS games. The Integrated Communications Manager for EA SPORTS will support multi-channel communications for Super Mega Baseball, an arcade style baseball experience created by Metalhead Software, as well as various EA SPORTS Mobile titles. You will work as part of a Super Mega Baseball marketing team leading integrated communications, which includes earned media, social and owned channels, influencer marketing and core community.Reporting to the Integrated Communications Director, EA SPORTS, you will develop trust with EA SPORTS players through transparent and purposeful communications. This will include partnering with EA SPORTS Brand, Creative Strategy, Production and other marketing team members. In partnership with Metalhead Software, EA SPORTS Mobile and members of the EA SPORTS Portfolio communications team, you will lead or partner with team members and agencies on the development of press materials (press releases, fact sheets, blogs, messaging), social strategy and copy, management of game development player feedback programs, sentiment reporting and creator engagement.Passion is the fuel that inspires our teams. You will have a deep love of EA and sports video games, matched with an ability to develop communications strategies that achieve our goals, to strengthen overall player engagement and sentiment for the franchise across the world.Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the multi-channel integrated communications plan for Super Mega Baseball and various EA SPORTS Mobile titles in partnership with Metalhead Software, EA SPORTS Mobile and EA SPORTS marketing teams.
  • Develop a network of partners both in the Metalhead Software and EA SPORTS Mobile studios and around the broader Electronic Arts organization to help build the integrated communications plans with development, marketing and other team members.
  • Management of player-facing communications materials including press releases, messaging documents, blogs, fact sheets and more.
  • Working with the Metalhead, EA SPORTS Mobile and EA SPORTS Portfolio social media teams to maintain a calendar of social activations on Twitter, Facebook and other social channels; develop engaging copy and track long-term performance.
  • Use reporting insights to identify trends and player needs that can lead to action within games or information communications back to players.
  • Earn player trust by working with Core Community counterparts on game development player feedback programs, Anchor Platforms (franchise blogs, live streams), and developing sentiment reports that provide community insights back to the development team.
  • Partner with the Social Influencer marketing team on activations that engage Creators in the Community during important moments of the Super Mega Baseball and EA SPORTS mobile marketing campaigns.
  • Use insights and industry knowledge to identify trends to help your team create engaging campaigns with set measurements against them.
  • Ensure all Electronic Arts standards and processes are observed and followed.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a public relations or integrated communications role, working within the sports or video game industry
  • Understanding of the evolving communications landscape and the intersections across audiences, channels and geographies..
  • A self-starter with a passion for storytelling.
  • Manage multiple priorities and achieve high-quality results on time.
  • Familiar with EA, our games, and the gaming industry.
