  • Adhering to and actively fostering collaborative project workflow process with project partners across all teams, subcontractors and within the PCL teams.
  • Coordinating with Document Controller for daily information flow between designers and constructors.
  • Ensuring multidiscipline construction technologies (including models, tools, and practices are current and standards are being adhered to, to meet construction needs.
  • Coordinating and managing trade detailing and design deliverables.
  • Collaborating with estimating on model compliance checking and validation.
  • Establishing and setting up the trade partner model coordination process that includes shop and fabrication model review and hands over to project teams.
  • Creating and coordinating the processing of (RFIs) with the project team.
  • Sharing new technologies with project teams and seeks to drive adoption of PCL technologies through operational processes.
  • Valuing and modelling the solution provider and profitability culture.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree, diploma or 2 year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural).
  • 5 to 7 years of construction related experience including 2 to 3 years of VirtualDesign and Construction related experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequences.
  • Awareness of and some involvement in implementing construction technology.
  • Ability to provide project model management.
  • Ability to ensure the quality of virtual design and construction models from design and trade partners.
  • Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications and translate 2D drawings and specifications into a complete 3D/4D BuildingInformation Model.
  • Intermediate knowledge in 3D modelling software and training and ability to create content in VDC software.
  • Experience with 4D scheduling software and planning tools.
  • Ability to provide input into Building Information Model (BIM) execution plan.
  • Ability to read and understand the construction model and scope to create and apply a VDC schedule.
