Job Description

Founded in 2013, ICON Creative Studio is Canada’s largest independently owned animation entertainment company located in the historic Gastown district of Vancouver, BC, Canada. With almost 400 design, storyboarding, modelling, rigging, animation, technical animation, lighting, visual effects and compositing artists alongside creative and management teams.We are looking for an Intermediate Rigger (NOC 5241) to join our team in Suite 200 – 341 Water Street in Vancouver, BC.ABOUT THIS POSITIONA mid-level Rigging artist has a full grasp and ability to do everything expected from a Junior Rigger to a higher quality and at a faster speed.Job duties:· Read and write basic Python code· Rig complex props with help· Set up basic biped rigs with department tools· Able to rig a variety of characters, props, vehicle with minimal input· Work with Senior Riggers to learn and grow· Stay in constant communication with Leads and Supervisors on the show· Learn and expand coding abilities to start to assist the department with development and technical challenges· Assist Junior Riggers with simple questions· Set up more complex quadruped and other rigs with help· Jump between shows, when requested by Leads or Supervisors, to help meet deadlines· Set up basic Ncloth dynamics· Maintain a good work-life balance and communicate with the team if help is neededThe ideal candidate will have:· Minimum 3 years of related work experience· Excellent trouble shooting/problem solving in Maya,· Strong knowledge of Python is required· Basic nCloth and nHair knowledge is required· Knowledge of GIT a plus· Experience delivering tasks under deadlinesTerm of employment: Full timeLanguage: EnglishWage: $60,000.00 annuallyIf this sounds like you, and you are ready to be a part of the fastest growing studio in Vancouver.
