Job Description

DescriptionJob Summary:The Information Services Telecommunications Purchasing Analyst is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective purchasing practices are employed when buying telecommunications products and services. The purpose of the job is to optimize Ledcor’s Telecom spend, eliminating waste and collaboratively working across Operating Groups. The Telecommunications Purchasing Analyst is responsible for maintaining key IS telecommunications vendor relationships. Enhance vendor performance through monitoring and escalation of key Ledcor issues within the vendor network. They serve as a subject matter expert and key point of escalation to track and resolve vendor issues identified by either party.Join the Ledcor team today!Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manages IS telecommunications vendor relationships, monitoring and reporting on vendor performance, resolving delivery issues, and proactively identifying areas for correction or enhancement of value-add (such as where a vendor continuously meets service levels).
  • Facilitate recurring account review meetings and negotiates terms for improved performance and lower costs.
  • Manages IS telecommunications contract verifications & executions from initial submission to execution by authorized signatories.
  • Negotiate and drive vendor discussions for best pricing or premium products to provide value for the business.
  • Facilitates discussions to ensure alignment of activities between requestor, procurement professional and leadership roles.
  • Administers the mobilization or demobilization of Ledcor sites and offices through the oversight or handling of telecommunications orders.
  • Create actionable insights to drive further value and identifies trends to provide opportunity and objectives for efficiency or productivity gains, such as vendor consolidation.
  • Monitors Ledcor IS and vendor accounts to ensure they are kept current.
  • Acts as a key resource for information on Ledcor’s telecommunications standards.
  • Manages the end user product end of life cycle by leveraging Information Services subject matter experts and vendor representatives to introduce replacements or other solutions.
  • Track cost savings achieved across Ledcor through optimization and waste elimination.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or other related field
  • 5+ years IT sourcing and procurement experience
  • 3+ years relevant experience in telecommunications or other services managing vendors, contracts, price negotiations, quotations
  • Knowledge of purchasing methods and procedures, including ITIL processes
  • Well developed interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of IT supplier base
  • Assertive and outgoing personality with an ability to build rapport with vendors
  • Knowledge of MS Office; ERP system (familiarity with JD Edwards is beneficial)
